The Problem

Every blind driveway is a small gamble — for the driver, and for anyone walking past.

As EVs get quieter and e-scooters faster, that moment is getting riskier.

We feel this needed to be built because nothing suitable and affordable existed for the home.

How it Works -

Step 1 - Detect:
As the vehicle passes through the sensor's detection zone, ExitGuard detects the vehicle.
Step 2 - Signal:
The sensor sends a wireless signal to the ExitGuard warning light.
Step 3 - Alert:
The warning light flashes to alert pedestrians approaching the driveway
Step 4 - React:
The pedestrian has a visual warning that a vehicle may be exiting.

Why ExitGuard

Built for the home, not a car park
Commercial exit warning systems cost thousands and need to be hardwired by an electrician. ExitGuard installs in an afternoon with basic tools and runs entirely on solar.

No app, no wifi, no subscription
Nothing to set up, nothing to pay for again. It's a physical system that just works.

Set it and forget it
No app to check, no button to press before you leave. It's watching every time, automatically.

Works on almost any driveway
Heavily shaded spot? Each unit pairs with an optional 3m solar panel extension you mount wherever the sun actually reaches.

Why I Built This

A routine walk... A reversing car... A second that stood still.

I was juggling a dog on a lead, a toddler in a pram, and a four-year-old running ahead. A car unexpectedly drove out of a driveway between me and my child — the driver didn't see us and we had know idea a car was driving out until it was almost too late.

So I looked for something - anything - that would warn people of cars exiting blind driveways and couldn't find anything. So I invented it.
